Issues with qt libraries in Fedora

I wondered for a while why it was that I couldn't install anything that wasn't an RPM. Initially I thought it was just my own inability to do anything in linux, but upon further investigation I discovered that my computer was definately helping. I have no QT library that I can find.

This means that fun little essentials like moc aren't there. Additionally, when I ./configure, the makefiles are made with qt-2.3.1 paths that I don't have (I have qt-3.1). I tried installing a new library for it, but that won't compile because I don't have the old one (if I understand correctly).

Anyone have any ideas?

Why don't you try putting in the cds and installing whatever it is you need from there to fix the prob, ie install the qt libs.

This, unfortunately, is easier said than done.

I made the mistake as installing Linux on my 4 year old Sony Vaio... Something that was a small miracle in itself. The CD drive is PCMCIA, and is sketchy at best. I still haven't perfected the skill of switching CDs, and for some reason it doesn't like recognizing my disk 2 of FC1. Either of them.

I tried this last night, and got down to installing the RPMs manually off the disk, using the details of the update to know which packages I should install (Not that some of them aren't self-explainatory). This has been working so far, but there must be an easier way!

Thanks, though!
