Issues with Creating "Delete" shortcut key in Fedora 17
Hello, I'm sorry if this is stupid but I'm hoping it's a fast fix:
I just installed Fedora 17 on my laptop and wanted to get the delete key to "move to trash" in my file manager. I've been following this brief tutorial (and found many like it) http://www.khattam.info/howto-enable...011-06-01.html .. but when I get to the spot where I'm supposed to click delete twice while hovering over the "move to trash" option, the shortcut is not created; in fact, nothing seems to happen. I've double checked that I set "can-change-accels" to true, so I don't know what else there is. I'm terribly unfamiliar with creating shortcut keys. |
Welcome to LQ.
How about this : Nautilus > Edit > Preferences > Behavior : And then tick the "Include a Delete command ... " entry. ( Nautilus is the entry in Activities named 'Files'.) - |
