Issues after trying to restore boot sector
 

Hi. I am student taking Linux course, and got a problem.

I am using Fedora 8. I am doing my assignment, and in part of my assignment I had to overwrite the partition table and then using fdisk through Rescue installed system to restore the partition table. I did all the steps to make the partitions through rescue installed system in Fedora 8 using fdisk. and then type command # chroot /mnt/sysimage and then command # dd if=boot.dd

After running the last command, all fonts got strange and were no longer English. I didn't know what was the problem so I exited the fdisk. Now I am trying to access Fedora8 but got the error that " No boot filename received".

I don't know what to do. Please help me out to solve this problem.
