Issue mounting 2nd HD via fstab

All,

I can't seem to auto mount on reboot my secondary hard drive within ubuntu. This is my /etc/fstab (the /dev/sdb1 drive won't mount via fstab but will mount if I issue the mount command)

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# /dev/sda1
UUID=8f79e031-1a1e-4d44-af8f-d38e38c9370e / ext3 relatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1
# /dev/sda5
UUID=a2b690e0-5ca9-483c-affe-85efdf58c90c none swap sw 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /volcano/ ext3 0 2
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0

Do I have something wrong within this or am I blatantly missing something?

TIA!

Yeah you have missed one tab in there of options. Just add defaults after ext3.

/dev/hdb1 /new ext3 defaults 1 1

If you look at the example I put down you can figure out what you did. Look at your mount point, by placing the / after /volcano you are trying to mount it to nothing plus you should add some options as I have defaults added here.

Take a look at THIS it is a good howto.
