Isolating Win XP from Internet after installing dual boot with Linux Mint 13
I am going to install Linux Mint 13 in dual boot with Windows XP in a separate partition.
After that I don't need internet anymore for Windows XP. So far I haven't found a proper advice of how to isolate Windows XP from internet such that it is safe for hackers and viruses. It seems to me that I am not the first newby who struggled with this problem. Thanks for any answer. |
if you boot into windows i assume like most linux distros you can disable networking.
maybe you can run windows in a virtual machine from within mint but dont give it networking setup ? |
AFTER you install Mint and get it set up to your satisfaction, reboot to your XP partition and disable networking. You may have to restart networking on Mint after that.
