I downloaded the ISO's for Mandrake linux of a site, Well i have no clue what to do with that files i unziped it with WInrar but now do i burn it as a DATA file?? i have the program NERO but dont know what format to burn the files i unziped!

My friend told me to copy them into the CD and use the Windows tool to burn it , i did that and it shows my disk as empty and when i put in disk and restart my computer it doesnt boot anything!

Can somone told me what they did to burn linux successfuly?

Alright does it show me a tutorial on how to burn Mandrake Linux because i downloaded the ISO's from the site you just showed LinuxISO.org !

Make sure the motherboard BIOS is configured to boot from CD.

Once the CDs are burned you can view them in windows. They should contain various files and directories. If your PC can not boot from CD then you can create a boot floppy. When running windows if you stick the 1st CD in the drive it will autostart and display a menu.

Oh so if i burnned it on Nerio and i where to stick in my CD ! i should show a menu?

Alright ill ask my brotrher for the nero installtion disk , he has it i just recently reforamted my Windows XP!

my computer is made to boot from CD but i dont know if i have been burning linux wrong it says CD ..... OK

and it starts my computer ! but when i put in the XP CD it goes into the menu ! so i think i might have burned my ISO disks wrong ,i lltry with the nero program thanks dude!


How do i create a boot floppy?
