Is there any Linux version of Adobe photoshop software or similar photo editing and image manipulating software like photoshop ?

please tell me the best photo editing, image manipulating and designing software for Linux ?

GIMP has a learning curve. I started out as a Photoshop user about 10 years ago, until switching to GIMP about 7 years ago. GIMP has gotten better about not being completely obtuse, AND it has great documentation. Enjoy!

GIMP is still a very complex program, and from my perspective it still qualifies as obtuse. Or perhaps there is nothing wrong with GIMP, and it is I who am the obtuse one. :-) Anyway, for the limited photo editing that I do, I gave up on Gimp and settled on using Windows and Adobe Lightroom.

Mainly I prefer to shoot on film and develop and print in my darkroom anyway.
