Is there a way to edit your log in screen dialog box location?
Okay I really don't know what it's really called, so it's kinda hard to Google it, so i will explain the best i can.
I am running Fedora 17. I have changed the background on the log in screen, to what i wanted. However the only problem is that when the screen pops up for you to select a user and enter password, it appears in the center of the screen. That is fine, but ism looking for a way to move that towards the bottom left, that way the background i picked out will not be obscured. I'm thinking it's call the "GDM", but not sure. If you understand what I mean, and can help or at least point me in a good direction i would be much appreciated. ignore bad spelling ;p sometimes spell correct can't help me. |
I use kde instead of gnome, and I use Debiasn 6, so this suggestion may not work.
I have a file called /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc. In that file, I have this Quote:
Try searching for gdmrc on your system. You may get lucky and have a similar config file in /etc. |
I shall look more into it, I did see the file you mention, yet didn't see anything about coordinators, though i may just be blind. I shall try later on it tonight, even might try a different desktop environment. I still like my gnome, but I i guess trying new things, is the part of growing in Linux ^_^.
