Is the java-1.6.0-sun security update relevant to RHEL 5.7

Hi,

I have RHEL 5.7 on my server and there is a security update released by sun which i am not sure is applicable for me or not.

Kindly help me out in understanding that.

The affected product list shows

RHEL Desktop Supplementary (v. 5 client)
RHEL Supplementary (v. 5 server)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop Supplementary (v. 6)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Extras (v. 4)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux HPC Node Supplementary (v. 6)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Supplementary (v. 6)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation Supplementary (v. 6)

I am majorly confused with the entries

RHEL Supplementary (v. 5 server)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Supplementary (v. 6)

as i have no idea as to what does a Supplementary is .

Your Help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It's an extra software distribution channel for that distro. If you have the packages, you should update them. using yum, if it's not relevant to you, it won't auto update itself.
