Is SELinux disabled by default on Ubuntu?
What about most the other distros?
thanks |
I don't think it's enabled by default in many distros. But you should specify the distro you're asking about.

I've personally only seen it enabled by default on Red Hat distributions (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora) and their derivatives (e.g. CentOS, Scientific Linux). IIRC, Ubuntu uses AppArmor in place of SELinux, but I'm not sure if it's enabled by default.
