where did you get this information from?

unless you are running a commercial network I would not worry too much about the stability of either product as I doubt they would release them otherwise.

I have been using MDK 10 since beta 2 and it is far more stable than 9.2 ever was. I look foward to the final release.

Mandrake 10 Beta 2 uses KDE 3.2 and the Next version of X-Windows.

The Mandrake 10 RC1 has moved back to the previous version of X-Windows, because of the way the new X-Windows is licensed and the release date on the new version is after they plan to release the final Mandrake Linux 10. I don't know if this roll-back is only for the download version.

The k3b application is improved somewhat, although I have more work to do to get it work with dvd's.

There is a gui control for cd drives and how they are mounted.

The biggest change is moving to the 2.6 kernel, although you can install 2.4 kernels as well.

New KDE applications include kbear, for ftp downloads and synchronization, which replaces kget. Also, kwallet for saving passwords.

I installed LM 10B2 on a new hard drive and retained LM 9.2. However, I haven't been using LM 9.2, and have been moving stuff over to 10B2 as I have needed it.
