Is it possible to install slax modules into backtrack3?

When trying to install any slax module into Backtrack3, the boot process stops when the modules are being initialized. I've waited for up to 30 minutes for the process to complete but it never does. I have to use WinXP or my slax livecd to go into my USB to remove the .lzm file from the modules folder then reboot BT3. Once, when trying to install Thunderbird, the message popped up that the "module can not be inserted" because the "file is corrupt". Is it even possible to insert a module permanently into the existing BT3 system?
I'm using the BT3 USB version. Thank you for any input.

Welcome to LQ.

Kernel module ?

A kernel module can only be used in the kernel,
it was compiled for.

So only if slax and Backtrack3 are using absolute
identical kernels, compiled with the exact same
compiler ( gcc ) it may be possible.
.....
