Arrow Is it possible to install KDE for Puppy Linux???


Or any other window managers for that matter.

Possible, Yes. Easily or with Difficulty, I don't know. GNU/Linux is GNU/Linux no matter what the name of the distro is.

It would have to be compiled by hand, unless you could find a pup package for it. I don't think you will find that. Which means that it will be a very long and difficult process, unless you have done it before.

AFAIK, KDE would need to be installed one part at a time and in the proper order.

Puppy is just a small light weight Debian. I know someone who got KDE on an older Puppy. He had to extract some tar.gz files and compile them, compile some kernel modules, and a lot of apt-get installs. It can be done though.

this one has kde ..but its older version of puppy..3.01...
