is it possible to extract config of system????

Hello,

I have problem to compile new kernel for geode LX.
I look for defconfig file configuration but I do not find it.
My doubt is if it is possible to extract configuration from a runtime system??? In a few words, I have installed slackware in Geode and it works fine, so is there any command to extract a config file from system???

best regards
John Martin

you're welcome!

This is kind of standard today - I added the question-mark because it is an option one can enable/disable when building the kernel - so it was possible that it would not work for you.

You can even extract offline the config from a linux kernel image (as long as config support was enable) with the script :
/usr/src/linux/scripts/extract-ikconfig <name of image>
