Question Is GUI 44.4 The Best Solution for Virus Protection

After Finally getting an Update for GUI, I Scanned Repeatedly and Found a Threat From Google Chrome. I Uninstalled Chrome and Now only Access Gmail Through Firefox. Is This The Best Solution ? I am still Not Sure that I have Everything Removed, The Chomium Browser was Infected and Sweet Cakes or Something Like that was Manipulating my Chrome Browser. I also have AVG - But when I Load it, I get No Window with Controls To View and Results From the Run Position Never Show Up.

What is "GUI 44.4"? I've never heard of it (beyond the normal graphical-user-interface acronym). The best solution for virus protection is to disconnect your computer from the internet. Beyond that, there is no "best", there is simply "what suits your needs". Most Linux antivirus programs are simply used to find Windows virii in your files to prevent you from accidentally spreading them to your friends/family who run Windows. Smart use of the internet will prevent you from getting 99% of virii in any OS. Could you provide more details on what the output of your scan actually said, and what the AVG problem you're facing is?
