Is a symlink suppose to blink?
Made a symlink for java plugin, it's at /usr/lib/netscape/plugin. It is blinking , is that good? if it 's not how can i remove it? Can i just access the java plugin through the konqueror pref. box?
I know, lots of dumb questions! but thank you in advance :newbie: |
No, that's how they look, symlinks have their color, cyan :)
If you ever want to delete a symlink, do it the same way you delete an ordinary file. |
If the symlink is RED and flashing, that usually indicates that either the link is broken or it is pointing back to itself.

you sure??? normally a hard link or a symlink only blinks when the link has been broken??...I'm not sure as to the java plug in though... just a though.

I would just delete the link, verify the location of the file and try remaking it. |
Yup! it's blinking red, i guess it's broke.
Thanks for the help! |
