ipw2200 questions before installation
I'm using the driver and firmware supplied with SuSE 10.0, which I believe is driver version 1.0.6 but I do not know the firmware version. I would like to update it to the newest version, but for 1.0.7+ it says I need a different version of the firmware. I'm very new to linux and the install doc is quite confusing to me. I believe it says I need to uninstall the ieee80211 subsystem, the old firmware, and the old driver before I install the new driver, but I'm confused on how to do that. Also, where is the firmware for ipw2200 in SuSE? All I'm really asking is could somebody tell me in simple terms what I need to do in order to upadate my driver from 1.0.6 to 1.0.12 or whatever is the newest version at the time.
