IP spoofing

I manage a proxy server that will prompt any user who isn't coming from a particular IP address range. This IP address range is a library whose patrons are allowed access just by being in the library.

Lately the patrons are having problems connecting. I can only connect to the remotely, but to see what the local patrons see, I need the proxy server to think that I am coming from a particular IP addresss.

Is there any free, software package that would allow me to spoof my ipaddress so I can troubleshoot this issue for the library?

Why don't you add your IP?

If you spoofed that one particular IP address that
would render the original unusable, or either at
times, depending on just how which OS handles the
IP stack at the time, or whether there's a smart
switch involved or not.

Can't you get VNC or something like that onto one
of the library machines?

Cheers,
Tink
