iowait question


Hello,

Our system is having high iowait value, but I'm not sure waht file system or process causing it. How can I find out what file system or process ID?

You can use iostat from the sysstat package.

try iostat xcnCXTdz 5 -p sda

if you have a scsi or a sata hard disk.
