[root@localhost ~]# firefox
Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyInvalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 keyError: cannot open display: localhost:0.0

Thank you for your reply EDDY1. My apologies as i totally forgot to mention in the thread that i referred this site (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1525060) before posting.

X11 forwarding option is enabled in /etc/ssh/ssh_config

[root@localhost2 ~]# yum list | grep vnc
This system is not registered with RHN.
RHN support will be disabled.
gtk-vnc.x86_64 0.3.10-3.el6 @abc
gtk-vnc-python.x86_64 0.3.10-3.el6 @abc
libvncserver.x86_64 0.9.7-4.el6 @abc
tigervnc.x86_64 1.0.90-0.10.20100115svn3945.el6 @abc
tigervnc-server.x86_64 1.0.90-0.10.20100115svn3945.el6 @abc
gtk-vnc.i686 0.3.10-3.el6 abc

It works with root user credential and not with regular user meaning there is some configuration i need to check in user level.
