Intro Post - Greetings All
My name is Jim. I'm an IT professional W/30 years of experience on a variety
of platforms and environments. I delved into Linux about two years ago after developing BASH skills under MinGW. Professionally, I work primarily with Fortran and MinGW/BASH. So far I've installed Ubintu and Mint on a few machines and prefer the Debian flavor of Linux because of its commitment to open source development. I've gained a fair comfort level with GNU/Grub and My current course of study is LFS (Linux From Scratch) with BLFS to follow. I'm one of those people who thrive on learning all the esoteric details. Best Regards, Jim |
