Can anyone suggest a book "Linux for Dummies" level. I can get around in dos and windoze but am having problems getting a real simple intro book. Please suggest book and where I can find it.

An excellent book is

Linux Cookbook, 2/E
Tips and Techniques for Everyday Use
by Michael Stutz

It is published by No Starch Press.

It deals more with doing things with Linux, such as writing a book, converting picture formats, Mathematics, rather than concentrating on Linux administration.

Good Luck and have fun!

If you are using Mandrake, the obvious recommendation would be Marcel Gagné's book Moving To Linux: Kissing the blue Screen of Death good-bye.
