interrupted upgrade

I am trying to upgrade a server installation of 6.0.3 and do not know how to recover and complete the upgrade after getting the following message;

Quote:

root@web:~# apt-get upgrade

As a consequence of the fix, it is no longer possible for an
auto-generated value to be equal to the maximum BIGINT UNSIGNED
value. It is still possible to store that value manually, if the
column can accept it. (Bug #39828, Bug #11749800)

5.1.59:
Incompatible Change: Handling of a date-related assertion was
modified.
.
However, a consequence of this change is that several functions
become more strict when passed a DATE() function value as their
argument and reject incomplete dates with a day part of zero. These
functions are affected: CONVERT_TZ(), DATE_ADD(), DATE_SUB(),
DAYOFYEAR(), LAST_DAY(), TIMESTAMPDIFF(), TO_DAYS(), TO_SECONDS(),
WEEK(), WEEKDAY(), WEEKOFYEAR(), YEARWEEK(). Because this changes
date-handling behavior in General Availability-status series (MySQL
5.1 and 5.5), it was reverted in 5.1.62 and 5.5.21. The change is
retained in MySQL 5.6.
.

6.0.3
there is no os by that name
using "apt-get" so i am guessing Ubuntu 6.04

but the current is 11.10
6 and the first half of the year 6 is old , very old

i do not think you can upgrade 6 to 11 , if that is what you are doing .

My guess is Debian 6.0.3 which should be upgraded to the most recent stable, 6.0.4.

Maybe I posted that too soon. I wonder perhaps if it is Debian stable but perhaps there are some Ubuntu entries in the sources.list.

The output of the following would be helpful:
Code:

lsb_release --all
Also the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list may help us understand what is happening.

I'm guessing this. It confused me for a few seconds first time I saw one of these pop up.
