Interrupt Driven Device Drivers
 

Hi,

I need to write a brief article on the installation and actions of an interrupt driven device driver for the Linux 2.6 kernel. There are a couple of points that could do with some clarification:

- Is the installation of an interrupt driven device driver different to that of a polling driver? If not then i know exactly how a driver is installed and there are no problems here.

- Can both block and character devices be interrupt driven? Any related information i have found has mentioned block, but i'd like to be sure.

I anyone knows of any links to useful resources i'd appreciate them.
