Internet throught CDMA mobile phone for internet

Hi Everyone,

I want to connect to internet through my cdma mobile phone. I am using puppy linux and mandriva one 2007.

In WinXP, the process to connect it is as under:
1. install driver for prolific serial to usb cable.
then;
control panel-> phone and mobem options->add new modem->dont detect my modem-> select standard modem->standard 336000 bps modem->select port (here i give the port no. which is generated in windows after attaching the prolific cable. usuall is is com3 com4 or com5 etc.)

then:
internet connection wizard -> create a new dial up connection-> company name->mtnl; phone No. #777; select the modem (which is on the com X) add a shortcut and its ok.

Now, How can I do it on my puppy and mandriva?

Thanks is advance.

Not exact as cell phone goes but has files that need to be created. Guessing you mention 777 as the number it is a verizon account so check this out.

No idea on there setup requirements. I would think they could provide the requirements for the conection and plug that data into the possible dail-up script file listed in the above link.
