Internet through Huawei E1732 data card is not work in rhel5.4

Hello Team,

I could not start Internet in Oracle VM VirtualBox (Operating System:Linux rhel1 2.6.18-194.el5)by using Huawei Data Card.

When click on RHEL 5.4 GUI Desktop->Computer then I see "Huawei SD Storage".

By double clicking on it I get message like "Unable mount the Media"

Please suggest how to configure it.

is this the unlicensed and unregistered copy of the old rhel5.4 from your other past threads

5.4 is about 2 years out of date
5.9 is the current version for the older 5 series
with RHEL 6.4 the current release

if so
please buy the required license !
or
install CentOS 6.4
or if you have 5 to 10+ year old hardware--- maybe 5.9 for the legacy hardware compatibility
or for legacy software that you can NOT upgrade

but i have 6.4 running just fine on a computer that is 12+ years old

but with the software versions in rhel5 LOCKED back in 2007
new hardware might NOT be supported in the old rhel5 series

so that new "Huawei Data Card" might never work in rhel5

Where do you want to connect to the internet. On host or in VM.

Are you running RHEL 5 on VirtualBox.
Which is your host OS?

Internet is available to the VM through NAT. You can change the
network setting for your VM in VirtualBox.
