I am currently using a local ISP. When I start using Linux will there be any problems as far as compatibility, or will I need a special provider for Linux?
most likely you should be able to connect using them..
if you give us the isp, most should know off their heads if they have problems or not.. but if its a local isp, usually they have no problems with linux connecting to their servers...
