Internet Security

Installed RDEL 4.
Do I need to install any anti-virus and anti-spyware software?
Any recommendations?
Most of these programs I came across are Windows orientated.

Thanks for all your help in advance,

The Linux antivirus programs are for protecting windows hosts by preventing downloading and sharing infected files.

For Linux, it is better to secure services such as ssh, remove unsecure services such as telnet, and using rkhunter, etal to check for root kits.

Linux itself is not susceptible to most viruses and spyware, but you might want to install an antivirus software so that you don't spread viruses to other users who are using Windows. I recommend using ClamAV with KlamAV or ClamTk to make things relatively easy.
