internet radio problems

I cant play internet radio in mp3 format. I found a plug in on the shoutcast website, but when I click on the "sc_trans_posix_040.tgz" it asks what I want to open it with. I am a newb and have no idea how to instal things on linux, or if this plug in will even work

I use Fedora

u will need to look these things up if u have no idea what they mean, but here is what you need to do

extract
./configure
make
su -c "make install"
