I have no idea what a sagem fast 800 modem
is ... is this a normal serial device, a PCI win-
modem, a ADSL modem, some sort of cable
modem, ....

Cheers,
Tink

And how does it connect to the machine?
USB, ethernet?
What connection type is Wannado using,
how does it work in winDOZE?

usb is tricky for a modem. i suggest maybe buying an ethernet card/cable and using that. no drivers required that way, except for the card, which should be detected

HERE?
Heaps of hits, some actually mentioning Wanna-doo,
but they're in French ;)

In this case, bonjour, and I hope you're
getting that thing sorted out. If you do, I
bet others would appreciate a) feed-back
on how you did it here, and b) at this site:
http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/

I've found the latter very handy in the past,
but couldn't find a reference to your modem
there (which is why I didn't originally post
the link in this thread).

Cheers,
Tink
