Internet pages loading slowly
I have just installed Linux(Debian,etch) for the 1st time replacing windows. I built the Pc with a Nvidia(Geforce) graphics card the internet pages load much slower I believe it may be the drivers. The only drivers I have are windows compatable. has anyone any suggestions

I'm having the same problems here, though some of it seems to be related to using my wireless card. As a test, I hooked up an external wireless bridge, and literally everything seemed to be running faster. The biggest problem I'm having is stalled DNS lookup. A trial with dnscache showed no improvement; it just wasn't caching even though the logs said it was. It's gotten so bad that I've just put my favorite sites in my /etc/hosts file. I'm getting a new wireless bridge as a stopgap, then when it warms up, I'm installing a CAT5 network in the house.

The net seems better today, from both wired and wireless machine....
