internet on command prompt ?


i wanted to know if internet can be used from command prompt too ? and if yes how ? like it would be wonderful if someone of u cud provide me with some link to reading material .

Since the command line supports only text, you could only view the text portions of the webpage.

Check out lynx text browser.

Here is a fairly useful guide to Lynx: http://library.albany.edu/internet/lynx.html

Of course yes !!!
You can use :
- lynx (or links) - text web browser
- ftp (or ncftp) - text ftp client
and many others.

Another text mode browser is elinks. You can also check your email with mutt or pine.
