Internet Connection Problems...again!

In RH 7.2 I was able to connect to the inernet and surf with no problem at all. Yesterday when I tried to connect I was able to connect, (with strange connection speeds ie, 26400, 33333, 36000, etc...when usually connecting at 41333 or so.) Anyway, when I connect and try to surf to a page there is hardly any information sent through my connection. After a short delay Konqueror says it cannot find the site I'm trying to reach. Ok, so I try to ping and it says unknown host name. So, something is very wrong here, I updated my modem driver, still, no luck. I can connect, on the same box, same ISP, in Windows and surf with no problem and I connect with the usual speed. What's up?? (I am using Kppp to dial up)
