internet connection in ubuntu 8.10
I have dual boot in my laptop-X.P and linux ubuntu 8.10.I have set up internet connection in xp by Local area connection via Realtek PCI GBE family controller using IP address,d.gateway etc.my connection is wired.As i am new to linux, i do not know how to connect internet in linux ubuntu. please give me step by step instructions.thank you.
