Internet Access for SUSE Linux Enterprice Server

I have a linux machine with static IP. I want to set up internet access. Our network administrator told me that he doesn't know how to give this linux machine access to internet.

Thanks,

Lisa

I am new to Linux myself but I think you have to set the default gateway (IP address) in your NIC config.
I dont know if you guys are using GUI for your server or just command line?
But you can manually edit the /etc/resolv.conf file and put your DNS address and I think you should hit the Net. Sorry my experience is mostly with Ubuntu and the commands are unfortunately little different (than Suse, Redhat etc.).
