Is your wireless card recognized and active?
fire this command and see whether it is recognized
$ifconfig
(make sure the IP is correct and fire the loop to make sure you dont have any connectivity issues within your OS itself)
additionally, if you want to configure your wireless setting you can use:
$neat - tui
I would recommend directly connecting with Ethernet(if you can) to see if you can establish a connection. Let me know how it goes.
