sir i want to ask u that if i m transferring file from one pc to other pc through command scp,then i want that while transfering is going on ,i see the pid through top command,so i want to stop(pause) the transfering of file through kill command and see in the other pc that how much file is transferred and how many remaining,afer seeing that i resume the transferring of file ...what are the commands for dat using kill command

The keybd combination Ctrl-S stops the process, Ctrl-Q resumes operation (see SIGSTOP, SIGCONT)
