Question internal LAN chat on lunix


Hello,

How to install and configure lan chat on open suse 11.3


we have around 150 pc's. . we need office internal chat. .

anyone please suggest what has to be done. . ???

As is a good, usual step one...CHECK GOOGLE. Did you try to search for anything? This has even been covered on this very site, several times.

Jabber is a good choice, easily found, and supported by many OS'es and clients.

yes i searched. .

outlook messenger and jabber. . i have to install and see which one works. .

That's easy..jabber. Mainly because (from the outlook messenger site, if you read the features lists), the server piece only works on Windows.
