Interface bonding question

I have to set up a new server with Redhat AS4 with a bonded interface. I have another server that was already set up that I'm supposed to duplicate. I read the documentation that I could find on bonding interfaces, and I can see the files in the other server that is already set up. The question I have is this - I only see one IP address in any of this stuff, the address that is in the ifcfg-bond0 file. This is the IP address that is used as the primary network address for the server I'm copying. Do I need to request separate IP addresses on the network for my eth0 and eth1 connections, or do I just request the bond0 address?

eth0 and eth1 do not need ip addresses only bond0 needs an ip address

Yup, I also concur, that's the whole point of bonding the two NIC's.
