Mesa 7.10 is much much newer than Ubuntu 10.04 so, presumably, you installed it somehow? What steps did you follow to update Mesa? Does your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file indicate any problem? What's the output of 'glxinfo' or does that also crash your computer.

I haven't installed it I downloaded it but it won't install I have to add other programs to install it. I also downloaded the 2D updated driver that also won't install
Since you have consistently refused to answer all my questions, I can only assume you do not really want help. In which case, I'm done trying to help.

I answered your question Guild wars crashes the 10.4 because the intel 2D and 3D Mesa are not good enough to run the game. Now I downloaded the newer drivers for 2D and 3D but they won't install in 10.4 Ubuntu

No, you have not answered or provided the requested information that would aid members in helping you to a solution. To make a statement as you have made doesn't mean a thing without support information. What does the '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' show for problems or errors? Show output of 'glxinfo'. You should place any information within the vbcode tags # or quote. That way your post will be cleaner therefore easier to read. I'm referring to log output or glxinfo for this instance.
You do need to provide requested information for anyone to help resolve the issue or problem.
