Instructions to use LQ

When I visited LQ for the first time, I was urged to post my first by pressing xxx. I received a reply and had to react on it. But my reaction was not posted and my 'last visit' was not updated.

What I urgently need is a "Help" function with instructions how to use LQ. The first I would expect is an item "Post new thread" in the bar on top from "Home" to "MyLQ", or better, instructions for ther user.

For instance : What to do with the two blank buttons ("Fonts" and "Size") on top of this form that are absolutely dead?

At the top of this page ( and every forum page)
is a link " tutorials"
on that page is a link "LinuxQuestions_org"

Personally, I think a small "Post New Thread" entry in the top bar would be more difficult to see than the big blue box with the white words "New Thread" and a yellow light bulb, that currently sits immediately above the list of threads. Or perhaps it is too conspicuous?

Dead? They have life when I click on them. Or am I misunderstanding your statement?
