Installing w32codec RPM

I'm running Fedora Core 2, and I'm trying to get Xine and/or mplayer to play .wmv files. With this end in mind, I downloaded the RPM w32codec-1.0-3.i386.rpm. However, when I try to install this RPM, I get the error:

error: Failed dependencies:
rpm-build-tools is needed by w32codec-1.0-3

I've tried Googling for this rpm-build-tools RPM, but I can't find it anywhere.

Does anybody know what I need to do to get this w32codec RPM installed?

Hmm... I apparently have it...

# rpm -qa|grep rpm-build
rpm-build-4.3.1-0.3

But trying "rpm -i w32codec-1.0-3.i386.rpm" still gives an error...

When you install it with YaST, just ignore the dependencies, and make sure that you install a version of xine. I had the same problem on SuSE and mine works great.

The w32codec can be found at: packman.links2linux.org/
