Installing VMWare Workstation 7.x (32bit) on Mint 14 (32bit)

Hello Everyone,

I have been beating my head against the wall trying to run VMware Workstation 7.1.6 32-bit on Mint 14 32-bit w/ Mate. It installed without to much of a fuss. Unfortunately, that is where the good times ended. I have installed “patch-modules_3.4.0.sh”. While that got me further along it still hasn't been able to successfully complete the VMWare Kernel Module Updater” It errors out stating “Unable to start services”

I know VirtualBox probably cooperates better than VMWare for running on Linux but, the company I work for uses VMWare 7.x exclusively. Therefore, I use VMWare 7.x exclusively.

Hopefully, I'm making an easy newbie mistake and this is easier than I'm making it.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Chris

Can you paste the exact error you are getting? Also what's the kernel you are using currently?

No dice. I'm still pretty new with Linux and it is entirely possible I'm doing it wrong. The only thing that stands out to me is where it says Hunk Failed (see attached).
