At first, please spell out your words.
To your problem, did you try to extract the .tar.gz while you were on a read only file-system, like the virtual CD, or where you in a writable directory. Also, please post the exact error messages, this will give us a much better view on the actual error than "can't success bcoz previous error".

The missing firmware is not related to your VMware problem, ignore that unless you have hardware of that type in your system. That the VMware tools can not be started is normal, because the installation failed. Please answer the questions of my previous post:

When I asked for the error-messages I meant the ones you get when you try to install the VMware Tools.

Did you get errors before that messages, for example when compiling/installing the modules?

Hi, godageprasad.

I am not sure what you mean by install vmware-install.pl, in my experience, you execute that file, which will stage the VMWare files in various places, and then ask you if you want to run the configuration script ( vmware-config-tools.pl ). Running the configuration script will require some of the build tools and some of the kernel headers.
I ran into trouble in Fedora 13 with VMWare Server 2.x. I was helped by the post at http://communities.vmware.com/thread/271309 , but I am not sure that you are at that point in the installation process yet.
The exact text of error messages may not mean much to you, but they greatly aid the responders, who have often been through experiences so that they can offer advice.
Best wishes ... cheers, makyo
