installing vlc, and libdvdcss.so.2
When I try installing libdvdcss.so.2 for vlc I get this:
file /usr/lib/libdvdcss.so.2 from install of libdvdcss-1.2.8-1.fr conflicts with file from package xine-1_030715_cvs-ub3 Is xine-1_030715_cvs-ub3 an important package? Does anyone know of any work arounds for this, or am I the only one with this problem? Thanks apoc |
xine is used to play movies, dvds and such things. Since you are installing css decryption tools, I guess that you will need at least one DVD player.
To work around the problem, be sure to include --nodeps in the rpm command (I have no idea, how to do this in the gui program) |

I tried rpm --nodeps libdvdcss-1.2.8-2.fr.i386.rpm and I get this: RPM version 4.2 Copyright (C) 1998-2002 - Red Hat, Inc.
