Installing Ubuntu - hangs at 90%

Help! I'm trying to install Ubuntu but I can't even get past the installation. It hangs at 90% - configuring hardware.

I assume that there's some part of my hardware it doesn't like - could be bluetooth dongle, firewire card. I can't think of anything else it could be. Any suggestions as to how I got get Ubuntu to install?

Say, for example, taht it's the bluetooth dongle which Ubuntu doesn't like. Maybe I could get Ubuntu to install by removing it but then would I continue life without bluetooth?

Please help. I'm very keen to be running Ubuntu and moving away from Windows.

Thanks.

Mark

Disable or remove most hardware during the install phase, then just plug it in when it finishes, it'll still get detected fine.

I get this with kubuntu using the GUI mine sits at 93% checking for removable packages, I reboot and works fine, i just need to comment out the CD deb repository in /etc/apt/sources.list as every time it tries to install/update any software it will hastle you for the CD every time OR if you dont want to reboot mid install then on the CD startup, choose to install via the text based installer, works every time for me
