Installing Syslog -ng in backtrack5


Hi,

I am new to linux and i am looking to install syslog-ng on my backtrack5 linux.

Can anyone suggest me link or any tutorial or any suggestions on how to install it?

I believe that Backtrack 5 is based on Ubuntu Lucid (10.04 LTS.)

I think that your best bet would be to get the lucid source package and build the package using checkinstall.

This may not be recommended. I would check on the backtrack forums before deciding whether this is a good idea.

Its solved : Backtrack5 syslog-ng installation and configuration

The issue is solved..I used this link..
Please read the thread till the end , the problems you will face while installation will be solved by the ans posted at the end by me.I faced these problems and I hope it will save time for others...
