Hey, don't be so fussy with SuSE 9.x!
It' is great distro, I'm having no troubles with the installation itself.
Yes, I used self-made boot CD burnt from the boot.iso image, and then I mirrored the whole SuSE 9.0 tree on my disk localy, but that does not matter... or I'm wrong?!
What I mean is probably there's media bug in those CDs bought from INet... If more and more peoples have one and the same trouble with the boot CDs, then it is more likely to be a problem in the CDs and not in the distro.
I personally do not pay any single penny for a Linux distro - I've mighty broadband DSL connection, stable ISP, wery well working DVD-Burner (and yes! It works perfect under my SuSE 9.0!), so I just mirror locally the distro I want and then burn it on one or two DVDs, burn a boot CD from the boot.iso image and here we go!
