Please edit post #65 to use 'code tags'. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi....php?do=bbcode http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...e-read-701224/ Do not use 'quote tags' for that kind of listing / output text. ? What happened with $ sudo make install ? Do the sumo commands work ? $ sumo , etc. ? - |
I have edited Post #65 sorry for that mistake
regarding to my problem the following information i have got it when i applied $ sudo make install Code:
make[4]: Nothing to be done for `install-data-am'. |

Repeat : Do the sumo commands work ? $ sumo , sumo-gui etc. ? That's the important thing. The other outputs from 'make install' isn't important. Looks OK. - |
SUMO with MOVE installation
Hello,
I am on ubuntu 13.1 32 bit. installed sumo using this command: sudo apt-get install sumo but the sumo version i got is 0.17.1 I read on the net that only the version 0.12 works with sumo and i tried to work with 0.17.1 but an error occurred when generating the topology. Now, i want to install sumo 0.12 and i downloaded the sumo version and also the Move version provided in this thread. When extracting the sumo archive and positioning in the src folder (cd src) i can't run ./configure (not recognised) and there is no root makefile. So, what to do to build the 0.12 version from the source files. |

When you have installed the sumo prerequisites it is : $ cd sumo-0.12.3/ ?? $ ./configure Please read the sumo threads http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/tags/sumo/ .. to know which compiler to use for Ubuntu 13.?? or similar / sumo-0.12.3. .. I.e. the configure command will probably be something like : $ export CC=gcc<?> CXX=g++<?> && ./configure - |
Sumo 0.12 insttallation executable not found
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I am sorry.I am on ubuntu 13.10 32 bits. in the sumo-0.12.3 folder there is only an src folder that's all. When i made cd sumo-0.12.3 and ./configure the ./configure commad doesn't work and when i tryed configure instead it worked for me but i think that it it is configuring my ns2 installation (ns2.31). So i commented out the configuration of ns2 in the .bashrc file and i tried the configure command. The content of the sumo-0.12.3 directory is described by the image attached to the current post. After running sudo make install, i can't find the sumo executable to put it in the /usr/local/bin |

OK, Ubuntu 13.10 - 32. You can install the package sumo-bin-0.12.3-u1110_i386.deb https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7S...it?usp=sharing .. which is known from reading http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/tags/sumo/ There is no compiler (AFAIK) available for Ubuntu 13.10 - 32 that can compile sumo-0.12.3 . And : The "13.10" system libraries are simply too new. No old objects in libc*, (libgcc*). I have done some test builds with g++41, g++-4.4, g++-4.6, g++-4.7, g++(-4.8.1) : No luck. Conclusion : Don't try to build sumo-0.12.3 with Ubuntu 13.10 , use the package.deb . EDIT : See posts#73, #74. - |
Hello knudfl,
I managed to build sumo 0.12.3 on ubuntu 13.10. The configure command must be the following to avoid the linker's errors: LIBS='-lpthread -lGLU -lGL' ./configure --with-fox-includes=/usr/include/fox-1.6 --with-gdal-includes=/usr/include/gdal --with-proj-libraries=/usr --with-gdal-libraries=/usr --with-proj-gdal I verified then that i have the sumo executable under /usr/local/bin I hope that this will help people who want to build sumo in order to integrate it with MOVE. Thanks alot |

OK, Thank you. This is the configure line that works on my two Ubuntu 13.10 - i686 systems : $ export CC=gcc-4.4 CXX=g++-4.4 && LIBS='-lpthread -lGLU -lGL' ./configure Comments : 1) Strange it is that sumo-0.12.3 only builds by linking to {-lGLU -lGL}. Never required on any of the slightly older or very old OS's, e.g. Ubuntu 11.10 . And the excutable from "older" do not depend on libGL/libGLU : $ ldd sumo | grep libGL ; $ ldd sumo-gui | grep libGL 2) Your "--with-fox-includes=/usr/include/fox-1.6 --with-gdal-includes=/usr/include/gdal --with-proj-libraries=/usr --with-gdal-libraries=/usr --with-proj-gdal" ... is really not required : All those options are done automatically, when the libraries and includes are present in a system path. - |
