The best one is the one that is already installed, in line with all security updates provided by centos. Are you having trouble using it, or have you just assumed it's not there?

well you've not said how you are trying to access it in the first place for me to comment, most likely you've got a firewall running on the centos box, which wouldn't be allowing port 22

Maybe it's not running or port 22 is closed on the firewall. CentOS comes with openssh-server and it's status can be check with the sshd script in /etc/init.d/ with "/etc/init.d/sshd status" or "service sshd status"(service command only for uses with /sbin as a default path and only for red hat based distributions). If sshd appears to be running then put the output of "iptables -nvL" here within code tags, if sshd is not running try "/etc/init.d/sshd start".

no, you just run it so we can see what your firewall is set up to do.

well we can't troubleshoot obscure windows programs for you... use a normal client from a linux box, and it'll be much simpler, or at least just puTTY. look in you messsages log on the server too.
